M O D S

Here follows the list of most relevant modifications I've done for DooM since 1997, in order of type and relevance.

ATTENTION: for those who don't know how to play DooM mods, you need to have at least a registered copy of "DooM 2: Hell on Earth" or its Doom2.wad file. Any source port can be download after.

Release: July 04, 2015 Type: Complete Mod Port: GZDoom File Size: 283 MB Download Link
Description: a mod with 17 new maps, including new music, weapons, monsters, inventory, textures, graphics and hud. It uses GZDoom special features, such as 3D floors, jumping and crouching options, dynamic lights, 3D objects (MD2 and MD3 models) and extended DECORATE definitions. It also comes with GZDoom Builder config files to encorage new mappers (the file size is big because unused textures were kept for mapping), and can be transformed into a generic weapon mod (see more info inside the PK3 file). Gameplay is quite varied: monsters have different personalities, and some of them requires specific weapons to be beaten. Inventory items also play an important role on specific situations. There are already some calls and comments about this mod: 4PDA, iddqd.ru, realm667.com and tieba.baidu.com.

This is my first mod that exploits some major resources from new source ports, such as ZDoom.

It may be considered as an organized version of the "Armas series" (with no technical improvements beyond it), and is best for use in multiplayer games, specially on source ports that have DeHackEd compatibility such as ZDaemon, Zandronum and the abandoned SkullTag.

Description: this is a General MIDI (complete instrumentation) Soundfont file created for play DooM, DooM 2, Heretic, Hexen or Strife MIDI files, which has some of the most present instrument tones from the old OPL2 synthetizer pattern from the original game engine. You may use it together with SynthFont (it loads the soundfont), loopMIDI (creates a virtual MIDI drive) and set Windows MIDI drive to the virtual one; or simply load the DooM.sf2 file in Slade to play Doom music from WADs. The results are good, specially with DooM 1 music.

Daniel's Musics 02
Release: July 06, 2015 Type: Soundtrack Mod Port: Anyone File Size: 160 kB Download Link
Description: this mod replaces the original Doom 2 music with compositions made by me in 1995 using the old Encore and MIDI2MUS (original DooM MIDI-type file, with OPL2 synthetizer) applications.

There are others not so important mods as the ones listed above. "Cavaleiros" is a single map based on Daniel Level Serie 1's MAP16, and "Escola de Música da UFMG" is extracted from DoomNiel's MAP03 (with different graphics and music). "Revolta" was a prototype for a bigger mod, but remained with only one map, and Bira94 is an ancient temple map with more four incomplete maps, and... flies (weird!). Finally, the "Armas" series were surpassed by Weaps collection, altough some of them has new enemies.
